BITSAT Entrance Exam – Eligibility Criteria,Exam Pattern

Want to get admission to BITS College but how there is the only way to gets admission to the college by giving the BITSAT Entrance exam which is one of the Topmost entrance exams conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science in India, by which you can able to able to take admission in any one of the campuses of BITS Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai in which you want.

After JEE Mains this college has reputed positions like IITs When you search for Top 5 private engineering colleges in India you find this college always in that category.

Eligibility Criteria:

Students must be passed their 12th exam and having aggregate 75 percent marks in PCM along with this they also have at least 60 percent marks in Physics, 60 percent marks in Physics and 60 percent marks in Mathematics, and those who opted for PCB ( Physics, Chemistry, Biology) can also write this exam to get admission in B.Pharma.

If someone is State Topper in their 12th board exams then he/she can able to take direct admission in BITS irrespective how much the score gets in BITSAT entrance exam.


To give the best shot in your exam you have to prepare class 11th and Class 12th PCM(Physics, Chemistry, Maths), along with this some questions of English language to check the proficiency of candidate about the English language, and some question of Logical Reasoning which was asked in NTSE, SSC, Banks exam type.

Structure of Exam:

There are a total of 150 Questions asked in the exam of different sections. The total duration of the exam is 3 hours only.

The  distribution of Questions section-wise which are as follows:

Physics                                Total 40 Questions

Chemistry                          Total 40 Questions

Mathematics                     Total 40 Questions

Reasoning                          Total 10 Questions

English Proficiency         Total 15 Questions

For every correct answer, you mark you get +3 mark and for every wrong answer, you mark you get -1 mark So be careful while marking an answer as the entrance exam consists of negative marking.

If you completed your 150 Questions within the given period time means you have to submit the response of all of 150 Questions once you submitted your 150 questions you can’t come back to change any response to your questions.

Then you get 12 more Bonus question which consists of 4 Questions from Physics, Chemistry, Math each, in this bonus question negative marks also their.

Nature of Question asks in Exam:

It is a computer-based test. The question level for Physics and Chemistry goes easy to moderate level while the question level for Mathematics goes at a moderate level.

To prepare this exam you have to focus on more conceptual and theory-based questions in Physics and Chemistry and try to focus more on NCERT Books also, To make familiar with this entrance exam students must try to arrange 2 to 3-year previous year question papers by which you get some idea which type of question asked in exams.


By writing this entrance exam several doors open to take admission in different courses Like Engineering, Pharma, B.E+MSc. Integrated etc.

BITSAT Application Form:

To take admission to the BITS Colleges the application form was available on the first week of January month on their website. The form was filled online and the fees of application form were also paid online after filling the form Students are requested to take a printout of their application form for future reference.

BITS Admit Card:

Once you successfully filled the application form the admit card of your entrance exam was available on the 2nd week of April by login with your email id from the website of BITS you can download.

The Exam is generally to take place in the month of may Students are advised to appear on the date of the exam they must have to admit card because without having an admit card you can’t able to give your entrance exam.

BITS Result:

After taking the entrance exam from all the various center The results were announced in the 3rd week of June which was available on the website. Those students who are successfully cleared their entrance exams are eligible for counseling where they can fill the choice of your stream with the college from which they want to take admission.
